The clinic is situated in the fastest growing region in rural Victoria with significant ongoing population growth. Wonthaggi is rapidly becoming of the most important coastal town in Gippsland. This has been recognised by major retailers and other national organisations which are fully represented in the town. There is an extensive range of recreational and sporting facilities. There are magnificent coastal and hinterland vistas offering ample access for exercise and enjoyment. Schools, religious organisations and cultural facilities are fully represented in the town all of which are continuing to develop. The clinic currently has six fully fitted consulting rooms and two treatment areas, nursing facilities and staff and reception areas. The clinic is fully computerised and networked throughout. |
Clinical |

The practice is very busy, operates on a bulk billing basis and addresses a wide range of clinical issues. Many challenging clinical situations present each week and provide a valuable range of opportunities for improving the clinical skills of each GP. There is full backup available in the clinic with all the usual facilities e.g. ECG, spirometry, oximeter and surgical instrumentation. There is an onsite pathology service as well as a visiting psychologist and audiologist. There are also extensive links with local meat processing industry which require regular site visits to undertake Q Fever vaccination and general medical work. The practice also provides medical support to local country race meetings. The training doctors provide a comprehensive training experience for Registrars and adhere fully to the College requirements for training and provide keen input into each Registrar's training needs. |

The clinic works from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday with no requirement for after hours or weekend involvement. |

Fully furnished accommodation is provided by the practice. A rental subsidy is available through SGPT. Conditions are in line with SGPT guidelines. |
