| Inglis Medical Centre employs 6 nurses part time,
who work two per day in the centre's purpose built nursing section. This
section of the clinic had been styled on a hospital Emergency Response
Room and houses 3 triage rooms, 2 procedure rooms, as well as 3 seperate
private consulting rooms that are used by the nurses and visiting Allied
Health professionals. Our nurses regularly perform ECG's, immunisations,
b/p checks, ear syringing, audiograms and spiromertry as well as general
wound care, assisting in procedures and triage assessment. Our Women's Health Nurse who is also an accredited Pap smear provider, runs a women's health clinic once a week. We also have a mental health nurse on staff. Monday to Thursday we have on site, a full time care coordinator. This role has become very important to patients who are dealing with multiple health issues for example the elderly or chronically ill. The care coordinator has the ability to book appointments with allied health, help patients access community assistance and take the time to explain various services to the patient. Our dedicated and enthusiastic reception team work to support the Doctors and meet the patients' administration needs. |
