The getGP Board - Gippsland Education and Training for General Practice (getGP) Board members represent a wide range of organisations that strongly support GP training.

The following organisations are invited to nominate a representative to occupy a seat on the Board:

ACRRM
RACGP
Central West Gippsland Division of General Practice
South Gippsland Division of General Practice
East Gippsland Division of General Practice
GP Registrars Association
GP Supervisors Association
Monash University School of Rural Health
Indigenous Community
Large Hospitals (Those with RMO staff)
Small Hospitals (Those without RMO staff)
Community Representative.

Vision Statement

'Integrated Education for Rural General Practice in Gippsland'

Purpose

To encourage the exploration of all aspects and possible models of sustainable general practice and rural medicine
To attract and retain GP registrars in rural practice and Gippsland in particular
To enhance the standing of general practice in the rural context
To provide education for the disciplines of general practice and rural medicine leading to competent and effective GPs and rural doctors
To support program participants and their families
To promote the culture of teaching and learning in general practice
To build on the strengths of the existing program and introduce educational innovations

The Board meets monthly and holds annual business planning workshops.
